During my senior year at Winthrop University, I took a class called MCOM 471, which covered public relations production. This labor-intensive course allowed me to test leadership abilities, team work, and production skills more than any class I took at Winthrop.
It seemed like we were asked to complete countless assignments. Each assignment was part of a campaign that was tailored to fit the needs of our client, which was the study abroad office on Winthrop's campus. The goal of the campaign was to promote study abroad within the Department of Mass Communication, particularly to the six partner school that the department offered. A portion of the assignments were assigned as group work, which our professor had predetermined for us. Majority of the work in the kit was individual. By the end of the semester, these assignments accumulated to create a complete media kit. Below are individual items from my final media kit. |
